Pad is too thin
I was very disappointed that the cotton pad is very thin and I can feel the underlying large metal mesh. The surface is uneven and not good for ironing.
The pad is thin, but easily improved. Hardware works great!
This stable little ironing board makes it easy to keep near the washer and dryer. Touch-ups of shirts coming out of the dryer are a cinch now. The iron rest is a nice touch, and should fit any iron. This is a very sturdy metal board that stays put when it is being used.
Yes, the foam pad is mighty thin, but my wife was able to locate an inexpensive, synthetic fiber, replacement pad for a full size board that yields two new pads when cut out. The original pad makes a perfect template. The original and new cut-out pad easily went back on the board. My wife said that she can buy or economically construct a new cover when and if the time comes. Perfect! If space-saving and good utility are what you want, I don't think you can do better than this product.
Table top nice for small items
I purchased this for quilting. It is a nice size to use to iron while piecing. My only complaint is it does not have enough padding and I have not been able to find an additional cover to help.
