KRUPS Delivers!
The old adage, "You get what you pay for," is evident here. Yes, this is an expensive toaster. But it does what it needs to do with no muss, no fuss. Toasters I previously owned cost about as much but were not as reliable and did not toast as evenly. And when it comes down to it, that is what really matters. I'd rather spend a little more to get something that is good and that will last. You get one chance at toasting something right, so it is good to do so with a device that you have confidence in.
This 4 slot toaster takes up a fair chunk of counter space, but it looks good doing so and the wide slots actually fit thick bagel and roll slices fairly well. That is a big plus for me. The controls are straight forward and easy to adjust. In addition to the traditional toast setting, there defrost, reheat and bagel as well (the latter toasting one side more than the other). A simple press of the cancel button will pop your bread out -- no worries. It gets hot, but you won't...

As one might expect of a higher end product, the Krups KH734D50 performs very well. Toast is consistently toasted, even, and there are no issues in removing toast. There are four slots which are all wide enough to also fit bagel slices, "English muffins", and home-baked bread slices (depending on how wide you slice your bread).
The specs on this toaster are as follows:
* Chrome-plated steel on the front and top, with brushed stainless steel sides
* Four toast slots, each...
