New beater brush rules.
My wife asked me to look at our Kirby and the salesman was coming to clean carpets for "free". Let her know it needed a new brush and to ask the guy how much. Well, $1,700 for a new vac - because the latest vac picked up soooo much more dirt. Then it was on sale for $1,500. Meanwhile I am out fixing the mower. Sales man said a new brush was $40.
Bought a new brush for around $28 + 3 new belts for less than $4. Kirby works like new for less than $50.
Lesson: Change the belt every 6 months, replace the brush - both practically drop in, buy all of it from Amazon!
What's to say? It's a Kirby brush.
Love my Kirby (Ultimate G), and the brush fit it perfectly. I don't really think there's much more to say about this, really.

I think my vacuum cleaner really needed a new brushroll! it was easy to install, and now my vacuum cleaner seems to pick up even better, the price was a lot cheaper than at the Kirby repair shop. Very pleased
