for my Kenmore Progressive canister vacuum cleaner
My old black foam/white felt filter was all worn out and musty-smelling so I bought these to replace it. They fit perfectly in the slot behind the vacuum bag. Tuck the top edge under the overhead rubber flap and it's ready to go. Dimensions are 5" x 5", two filters in a package. This is my 3rd item from More Quality Less Money and I'm very pleased with their products, price and service.
The elusive square foam "other" filter for my Kenmore canister vac
When researching replacement filters for my 5 year-old Kemore Progressive 25614 canister vac, I had a hard time finding the right one. Various websites recommended a rectangular paper filter (model EF-1 or #86889), but the one I pulled out of my vac was a thin 5" by 5" square of foam and cloth.
I finally found this product, and it was exactly what I needed. It even is a double pack! Reasonably-quick mid-priced shipping for the product, as well.
So what's the big confusion with the filter? It turns out my vac has *two* filters: the rectangluar replacement filter is for the exhaust, and it fits inside a panel on the back of the canister. The square cloth filter (model CF-1 or #86883) is a chamber filter, and it slides into the space between the bag compartment and the motor.
Kenmore could do their customers a huge favor by making their vacuum replacement/consumable part information more comprehensive on their website, and include user manuals for all...
Fits my Kenmore Vaccuum just like the OE filter
Not much to say except that it is an exact replacement and fits perfectly replacement filter located against the back bulkhead behind the actual vaccuum cleaner bag.
